Program Information:

Professionals Nord is once again launching this successful program in collaboration with SatelliteGroup. Through our initiative, we are shaping the next generation of signaling technicians, and you could be one of them. During the introductory period via Satellite Group, you will develop the skills needed to quickly become confident and secure in the role of signaling technician.

Upon completion of the program, you will be employed by us at Professionals Nord, and during the first 18 months, you will work as a consultant for our client Simens. Provided that the collaboration has gone well, the goal and intention is continued employment with Simens. We know from experience that it is your personal qualities that determine your success. Information about the introductory period:

The introductory period is based on the Accelerated Learning method, where shorter theoretical parts are combined with practical elements to provide you with all the tools you need to succeed in the role. During the period, you will develop in areas such as:

  • Basic electricity
  • Safety, standards, and regulations for work on the railway
  • Signaling technology
  • Switches and track locks
  • Cable installation
  • Basic terms and symbols

We offer the opportunity for study support throughout the entire introductory period.

Timeline

Kick-off event: during week 11

Introduction: March 16 – June 12, 2026 (including internship)

First day at Simens: June 15, 2026

Scope: Full-time

Location during intro: Bromma and Ängelholm

Work location: Stockholm

Information about the position

At Siemens Mobility, we enable operators and infrastructure owners to shape today's and tomorrow's passenger and freight transport. With rail infrastructure, automation, and electrification solutions, as well as turnkey systems and service and maintenance. They offer everything from trams, local trains, subways, commuter, regional, and high-speed trains. As a signaling technician, you will primarily work with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of the Stockholm subway's signaling safety system and its operator systems, as well as service assignments within electrical power for rail-bound traffic. Your tasks will include:

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems on the subway
  • Repairing faulty or worn components
  • Performing preventive maintenance proactively
  • Documentation and reporting of the work you have performed
  • Participating in planned projects and commissioning

We are looking for someone who

  • Is at least 18 years old
  • Has a high school diploma
  • Holds a B driver's license
  • Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish
  • Is technically inclined and enjoys working both outdoors and physically!
  • Has passed tests (MAP & Matrigma)
  • Passed health examination (Booked by PN for final candidates)

We therefore believe that you are curious and approach tasks with a high safety mindset and take great responsibility for your work. It is also important that you are problem-solving and want to develop your skills in the job. In the role of signaling technician, you will have close dialogue with colleagues, clients, and supervisors, thus requiring high communication and collaboration skills. Additionally, we see that you are stress-resistant and flexible as the work can vary from day to day.
